Saturday, November 3, 2007
SUNY Cortland
Center for Ethics, Peace and Social Justice (CEPS)

Just out of the starting gates of the 21st century, the world has experienced unthinkingable natural global changes. From disasters such as Hurricane Katrina to the Binghamton Flood of 2006 here in Central New York, the world is changing, but the question is how are we addressing it? With a growing academic, social, and political concern about our planet we are interested in hearing what you are doing to address these global concerns in your classes, community events, writings, or lectures. In this interdisciplinary conference we want to ask questions from a diversity of fields and experiences including, but not limited to education, art, ethics, justice, culture, science, history, technology, policy, media, economics, and spirituality in relation to issues of environmental awareness and sustainability.
